SORA Technology Selected for JETRO's Global Startup Acceleration Program (GSAP) – Sustainability Course
SORA Technology Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya, Japan; Founder & CEO: Yosuke Kaneko; hereafter “SORA Technology”), which provides advanced drone and AI solutions across public health, agriculture, and climate resilience, announced that it has been selected for the Sustainability Course of the Global Startup Acceleration Program (GSAP), organized by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in collaboration with the Cabinet Office of Japan.
GSAP is a global acceleration program designed to support the international expansion of Japanese startups. Through partnerships with some of the world’s leading accelerators, the program provides participating companies with access to mentorship, global networks, and connections with potential customers and business partners, helping them accelerate growth in overseas markets. In fiscal year 2026, a total of 62 startups were selected from across Japan, including companies based in the country’s 13 designated Startup Ecosystem Hub Cities.

SORA Technology was selected for the Sustainability Course, delivered in partnership with Third Derivative, one of the world’s leading climate technology accelerators. Operated by the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), Third Derivative supports innovative climate technology companies worldwide through mentorship, strategic networking, and access to a global ecosystem of investors, corporations, and industry experts, accelerating the transition toward a more sustainable future.
To date, SORA Technology has leveraged satellite data, drones, and artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver technology-driven solutions addressing global health challenges, particularly malaria control across Africa. The company has also expanded its portfolio to include climate-related solutions such as flood risk assessment, smart agriculture, and digital transformation for the mining sector.
As climate change increasingly impacts the spread of infectious diseases, disaster risk, and food security, SORA Technology is committed to providing data-driven decision support through satellite technologies, drones, and AI to help address these interconnected global challenges.
